Silver Care
To prevent your silver jewelry from tarnishing, you should wrap your jewelry inside of tissue paper and place it inside of a plastic zip lock bag or any other tarnish preventing cloth or bag. Then, store it in a cool, dry place.
To gently remove any fingerprints on your silver jewelry, as well as grease or dirt, add a small amount of mild liquid soap to a cup containing warm water. Allow the jewelry to soak for two to three minutes and then rinse it thoroughly afterwards with clean water. Pat it dry before storing it. This is a good method to use for cleaning silver jewelry since silver is a very soft metal and can easily be damaged by abrasive cleaning techniques. If you would like to keep your silver jewelry sparkling like new, you could also try using a phosphate-free detergent.
Avoid using toothpaste to clean your jewelry because it's too abrasive and can leave dull scratches on your jewelry. Also, avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh household chemicals such as ammonia and bleach when you're cleaning especially chlorinated water in the swimming pool.
